The Accommodation

All rooms at Le Mauricia have a contemporary look with a Mauritian influence. All rooms are ocean-facing and have partial views over Grand Baie from a private terrace or balcony. The Family Apartments are located within the gardens with garden views.

All rooms, apartments and suites include: Individually controlled air-conditioning, private bathroom with bath or shower and separate WC, minibar, safe, hairdryer, television (satellite channels, music), international direct dial telephone.

Non-Smoking Policy: All rooms, restaurants, bars and public areas of the hotel are non-smoking areas.

Standard Room

143 Standard Rooms are located on first and second floors of the hotel.

Superior Room

The 60 Superior Rooms are located on the ground floor and are larger than the Standard Rooms.

Family Apartment

28 two bedroom Apartments are set within the gardens and have their own unique features including private garden.

Honeymoon Suite

Make your honeymoon extra special by staying at one of Le Mauricia's 3, top floor, romantic Honeymoon Suites.

Loft Room

The loft room at Le Mauricia is unique. Consisting of two bedrooms split over two floors this light, airy accommodation is perfect for those who want additional privacy and luxury.

Villa

There is one beautiful, exclusive 2 bedroom villa at Le Mauricia. The villa has its own private plunge pool.

The Restaurants & Bars

Le Mauricia offers dining at two superb restaurants and guests are also able to inter-dine at Le Canonnier, although from time to time these restaurants may be full with Le Canonnier guests.

Meal Plan: Breakfast and evening meal or all inclusive. Dinner is either buffet or Chef's Daily Menu, in selected restaurants only, with á la carte dishes available at a supplement. An all inclusive option is also available. Occasionally a restaurant may close for a group booking.

Dress Code: During the day the dress code is casual, during the evening the restaurants prefer guests to be smart-casual so shirts and trousers (full length) for the men.

Non-Smoking Policy: Each restaurant features a 'smoking area'. Smoking is permitted in all bars.

Les Quais

Les Quais overlooks one of the pools and serves breakfast and lunch. In the evenings you can take a voyage of discovery at themed buffets served from 'live' cooking stations. Buffet style breakfast is served between 0730 to 1000, buffet lunch from 1230 to 1430 and buffet style evening meal from 1830 to 2130.

Breakfast is served 0730 to 1000, lunch 1230 to 1500 and dinner 1830 to 2130.

Le Nautic

A great location for dining with a view, positioned close to the pool and beach. It's open for á la carte lunch and either a daily chef's Menu or á la carte dinner. Lunch is served from 1230 to 1430. Dinner is by reservation only and is served between 1930 and 2130. Le Nautic has a intimate atmosphere when night falls. Seats 100.

Bay Watch Bar

The main bar, Bay Watch, is located by the pool and serves snacks between 1000 and 1600. Open between 0900 and 2300. Tasty pancakes will be served between 1600 and 1800.

La Rhumerie Nightclub

If you want to live it up a little, try La Rhumerie nightclub which opens until late, or take a short walk along the beach to enjoy the nightlife of Grand Baie.

The Facilities

Children's Club

The Bob Marlin Mini Club at Le Mauricia is free and welcomes children aged 3 - 12 years, 7 days a week. The club is open from 09H00 to 21H00 daily.

Le Mauricia mini club is run by qualified professionals who provide fun, but also educational, indoor and outdoor activities to keep your little ones entertained and happy. Every day there is a set activities programme which you can dip in and out of, if you also want to spend some family time together during the day.

Children and infants under 3 can attend the Club but must be accompanied by an adult or baby sitter.

Land and Water Sports

Le Mauricia has 3 floodlit tennis courts (hard court, Head tennis racket hire is complimentary however tennis balls will need to be purchased), table tennis, volley ball and bocciball all of which are free for guests. Mountain bikes are also available for hire. Land sports fact sheet

Water Sports

Gentle, inviting waters make Mauritius a perfect destination for water activities: waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, glass bottom boat trips, snorkelling, kayaks and pedal boats are all complimentary for guests. The hotel also offers free weekly group windsurfing and sailing lessons.

Diving

Le Mauricia has an on-site PADI affiliated Dive Centre with a comprehensive diving programme. There are a number of decent dive sites within 20 minutes boat ride of the hotel.

Deep Sea Fishing

In season, Mauritius offers superb deep sea fishing.
