Mauritius Flights
There are many airlines that offer flights to Mauritius but only 3 carriers operate direct, non stop. For direct flights to Mauritius you would do best to choose Air Mauritius, British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. Emirates Airlines, Air France and Air Seychelles also offer flights to Mauritius but involve flight changes along the way which will increase your journey time. The cheapest flights to Mauritius tend to be on Air Mauritius, the national carrier for Mauritius who offer a choice of Economy and Business Class travel. Mauritius Weddings
Mauritius weddings can be as simple or as fancy as you like. From a barefoot ceremony on the beach to a lavish marquee set in the tropical gardens or on the beach. Mauritius weddings are becoming more and more popular as people seek to escape for a pre-wedding rest and to get better value for money. Combine your Mauritius wedding with your honeymoon in the same hotel or a different hotel. Alternatively leave a few days after the ceremony to escpape family and friends who may have joined you and go on to Dubai, Seychelles or South Africa for something totally different.
For your Mauritius wedding choose from brightly coloured tropical bouquets using flowers such as frangipani or choose the more subtle colours of Orchids or Roses. Mauritius Golf
Golf in Mauritius is very popular for beginners and professionals alike. There are many golf course to choose from, the majority of which are located next to or within easy reach of hotels. Hotels with golf courses offering special rates to in-house guests include Le Touessrok, Paradis, Belle Mare Plage The Resort, One & Only Le Saint Geran and Maritim. Hotels that do not have their own golf course but who get reduced green fees are Le Prince Maurice, Dinarobin, Heritage Golf & Spa Resort, Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort, Movenpick Resort & Spa, Sugar Beach, La Pirogue, Shandrani and The Sands Resort & Spa to name but a few. The golf courses at Belle Mare Plage are the most well known. Both courses, Legends and Links are 18 hole championship courses. Maritim Hotel offers a 9 hole golf course and Le Touessroks golf course is located on Ile aux Cerfs. In the South of Mauritius, Le Chateau du Golf at Chateau Bel Ombre is the most popular.

Mauritius Excursions
Mauritius has a lot more to offer than just beaches. Mauritius excursions vary from relaxing on the beach to taking part in the various watersports on offer. Mauritius excursions dont stop there as there is much more to be discovered on the island. You could visit Ile aux Aigrettes Nature Reserve which is an island in the bay of Mahebourg now managed by the Mauritius Wildlife Foundation. Much is being done to restore and preserve birds, plants and animals close to extinction including the very rare Pink Pigeon and colourful day gecko. Proceeds from visits are reinvested into the Foundations projects.
The most popular Mauritius excursions are to Port Louis the capital and the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens. Other Mauritius excursions are Le Caudan Waterfront, Black River Gorges, the seven coloured earths at Chamarel, colonial houses, tea plantations and factory, vanilla and anthurium lily plantations, crocodile farm, quad biking, zip line experience, Valriche Nature Reserve, 4x4 full day tours plus many more. Sea based Mauritius excurions are also popular and include catamaran cruises, sunset cruises, dolphin watching, excursions to Ile aux Cerfs. Undersea adventures from helmet diving and walking on the sea bed to exploring the ocean in a two-man motorised subscooter followed by lunch in Grand Baie are popular choices.
Mauritius Water Sports
Mauritius offers an abundance of watersports to suit everyone. Choose from windsurfing, water skiing, kayaks, sailing, pedalos and snorkelling which are generally offered free by most hotels or try something a bit more adventurous like deep sea fishing, diving, undersea walk or Kite Surfing.
